This D Ring bit with hooks provides very mild leverage to redirect the bit pressure to encourage the horse to give to the bit correctly and round, without greatly magnifying the pressure on the mouth.  Nice tongue relief, with roller joint which also allow the lifting of one side of bit independently (especially with the slots to hold the reins in place).  This is great for independently lifting one shoulder.
