Originally designed for one handed riding, most Western curb bits are optimized with more advanced horses who have refined cues and who neck rein.  Since the shank increases the force on the bit, these bits are also best used in the tactful hands of more advanced riders.  As with all of our bits, our Western curb bits are also selected for their ergonomic comfortable mouth designs.
